Inbox Tidy privacy policy

The short version: your data stays in your browser.

The details

This policy covers the Inbox Tidy for Vinted browser extension, made by Kirstin under the name kirbly (“I” below). Last updated 2 October 2026.

What the extension reads

When you click the extension on your Vinted inbox, it reads the page to find unread conversations and conversations from deleted accounts, then clicks through them for you. While you browse your Vinted inbox, it also checks that the page still contains the elements it relies on, so it can tell if Vinted has changed its site. None of this leaves your browser.

What it stores

It stores the times of its recent actions, so it can keep to its daily limit, and the result of its page checks. These are kept in your browser’s extension storage, not sent to me, and are removed when you uninstall the extension.

What it never collects

Your Vinted password or login details, your messages, the names of the people you talk to, your listings, your browsing history or anything from other websites.

Optional error reports

Error reports are off unless you tick “Send error reports” in the extension. If you do, and Vinted’s page changes in a way that stops the extension working, it sends me the extension version, which step failed and the date, at most once a day per problem. Reports contain nothing about your account or messages. My server will see your IP address when a report arrives, as with any web request, but it isn’t stored. You can untick the box at any time.

Sharing

I don’t sell, rent or share any data. There are no ads, analytics or tracking in the extension.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what data I hold about you and have it deleted. As described above, that will almost always be nothing. If you’re unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
